Glenn Permuy
Member of the Board of Trustees

"In my role with Boys & Girls Clubs of America, I have an obligation to help safeguard the well-being of our local affiliates. The Trust offers me one more way to do that because it allows Clubs to proactively budget and control their unemployment costs. That means they have more dollars available for direct service to kids. For that reason alone, I am happy to serve on the Trust's board."
Glenn Permuy joined the Boys and Girls Clubs of Tampa, Florida as a youngster, and he has been with the organization ever since. He began his professional career in Tampa in 1962, ultimately serving as president and executive director for 20 years. During his tenure, the organization grew from three sites to 16 and increased its budget from $300,000 to $4.5 million.
Since 1997, Glenn has been senior vice president for Services to Clubs at the Boys & Girls Clubs of America national headquarters in Atlanta. He was president of the Association of Boys & Girls Clubs Professionals and has served on more than 15 national committees. He has volunteered his time and talent with numerous youth-oriented organizations and has received more than a dozen awards for his professional and volunteer work.
