Virginia Clark
Member of the Board of Trustees

"I'm happy to serve on the board because the Trust does so much for our organization. It has reduced our claims, cut our paperwork to a minimum, and saved us money. It also provides us with a continual flow of information on personnel issues, which is terrifically helpful to a small HR department like ours. Trust membership is a real value for any nonprofit."
Virginia Clark is director of human resources for the Boys & Girls Clubs of South Puget Sound. Before that, she was human resources manager for Pierce County Alliance (PCA), a private nonprofit social service agency whose services include outpatient substance abuse treatment, mental health services, and therapeutic foster care for high risk youth ages 6-18. The agency has a $6.8 million budget and 131 employees.
For 12 years prior to joining PCA, Virginia was executive director of Shared Health Services, a for-profit outpatient chemical dependency treatment program with locations in King, Pierce, and Thurston counties and in Anchorage, Alaska. She was also a part-time instructor in the human services program at Tacoma Community College for nine years, and held clinical positions in outpatient and residential settings in North Dakota, Montana, and Washington.
Virginia has a master's of science degree in counseling from Eastern Washington University and is a certified chemical dependency professional. She is also certified as a domestic violence perpetrator therapist/supervisor in Washington.
