Trust manager
Behind 501(c) Agencies Trust is an independent administrator that supports Trust members, offers expert unemployment advice, and helps nonprofits save money.
501(c) Services manages 501(c) Agencies Trust. In 1982, 501(c) Services established the first trust in the country to offer a safe way for nonprofits to legally stop paying the state unemployment insurance (SUI) tax while still covering unemployment charges for former employees. The success of the program is due to the Trust manager's hands-on, full-service approach, coordinated by a fully staffed in-house team of unemployment program professionals.
An experienced organization
With more than 25 years of experience working exclusively with nonprofit organizations, 501(c) Services understands the special challenges and issues confronting nonprofits. The mission-based values that define the programs come only from an experienced organization with a nonprofit view, overseen by active member representatives serving as trustees.
Combining a nonprofit perspective with business acuity
To assure the right combination of nonprofit sensibilities and business acumen, 501(c) Services has built a staff with roots in both the nonprofit and corporate worlds. Chairman and Founder John Huckstadt has spent many years in the nonprofit world.
To bring a nonprofit perspective to every issue, 501(c) Services sought career nonprofit professionals with a national reputation. Harriet Tunison, President of the Trust, leads a team of 40 staff and consultants. 501(c) Services supports the Trust members, helping them to be active and well-informed partners who control their own unemployment costs.
