Final Deadline to "Opt-Out" of the State Unemployment (SUI) Tax System for Nonprofits

In all states except California and Minnesota, there is an annual deadline to move from the state SUI unemployment program into the Trust. Evaluations  for Trust membership must be received no later than two months prior to the deadline to give your agency ample time to review the proposal and make informed decisions.
