Alan Lesher

President & CEO

Alan Lesher brings a unique combination of nonprofit and corporate experience to the Trust Board.   Since 2021, he has served as President and CEO of the YMCA of the Inland Northwest. From 2009 to 2020, he was CFO for the organization. The organization serves Eastern Washington and Northern Idaho, has $20+ million in annual revenue, over 34,000 members, and close to 800 employees.

Prior to joining the YMCA, Alan was Controller and then Vice President and General Manager at Roses & More in Spokane. In the latter position, he was directly responsible for all day-to-day operations involving sales, marketing, distribution, manufacturing, purchasing, and human resources, as well as new branch development and acquisition.  The company had 55 employees serving more than 2,000 customers over a six-state region.

From 1993 to 2005, he held a series of increasingly responsible executive positions at Spokane Flower Growers, Inc., culminating in his appointment as General Manager.  He began his professional career as an accountant/auditor with BDO Seidman.

Lesher completed his YMCA Organizational Leader Certification in 2015, and received his Bachelor of Arts in Professional Accounting in 1987 and Associate of Arts in Liberal Arts in 1983.

In addition to over 10 years of service to 501(c) Agencies Trust, his long list of volunteer and community activities includes numerous YMCAs, Joya of Spokane, Ronald McDonald House Charities of the Inland Northwest, the Juvenile Diabetes Research Foundation, Allied Wholesale Study Group, Eastern Washington University Alumni Advisory Board, and the Boy Scouts of America.
