This event is for participating organizations only.

In this 90 minutes session we will discuss how to comply with federal & state protected leaves, personal leave & ADA accommodation.  We will take you through the basics of The Family and Medical Leave Act of 1993 (FMLA) and help you:

  • Understand the key provisions of the law
  • Identify the purpose and benefits of the FMLA
  • Recognize when and to whom it applies
  • Protect yourself and your organization from liability
  • Assist employees in handling leaves appropriately
  • Understand the interplay between FMLA, State Leaves, Americans with Disabilities Act (ADA), and Workers’ Compensation
